California needs to play by the same rules that Small business do when coming to injured workers
An employer should not be able to dictate treatment because they are large, have money and pay directly
A state agencies budget should not be what dictates the medical care of an injured employee.
Extent of treatment
When in a car accident the car isn't repaired to "drivable" because the insurance company doesn't want to repair vehicle completely... Why is a person limited by "medical necessity" and not QUALITY OF LIFE?" That is no different than saying we screwed you up deal with it.
You know something is wrong when...
Looking at where money is being spent... Why is so much money is paid to avoid treatment than to doing what is necessary initially? When everytime the insurance disagrees you have to see another doctor... More test... more scrutiny... and ultimately treatment is avoiding altogether
When you have no other recourse you dig in and fight until you can't any longer....
